Less than an hour away, a paradise for ice skating lovers awaits at the Weissensee. The 6.5 km² lake is the largest constantly freezing and groomed natural ice surface in Europe. From mid-December to early March an ice sheet up to 40 cm thick is formed. The Weissensee is ideal for a day trip with the whole family.

A dedicated ice master and his team take care of up to 25 km of ice rinks, ice stock rinks, ice hockey
rinks and the 400 metre track for speed skaters.

If you are not confident enough on ice skates, you can dare to do ice stock sport in sturdy shoes on the track.
